Blurb:  Lisa's choice has been made. She's living her dream and couldn't be happier. Then as news comes to shed light on her happily ever after, a series of events are set in motion. Some want to claim what is rightfully theirs, others want to mold it in a positive light.

Alex feels the demon inside of him growing stronger, day by day. Will he be strong enough to keep it at bay, or will he lose himself to the darkness? A new demon comes into Alex and Lisa's life who seems to have every intention of destroying them, but do they know what their intentions truly are?

Lisa will discover who is an ally and who is the enemy, but will she discover it in time to save Alex from his own self destruction? When she finally understands what's happening to her, will she lose herself and everyone she loves or will she seek redemption and accept what she has become?

Review:  That blurb kinda sucks, so let me give it to you straight!  This book picks up where book one left off with Alex and Lisa.  Lisa is pregnant!  Lisa is human, Alex is now some hybrid of a fallen angel/demon.  Who the hell knew this could happen, right?!  All is good until Lisa starts having these freaky ass dreams, and Archangel Michael comes to pay a visit.  Michael tries to warn Alex of the dangers he and Lisa will face, but of course Alex is all, I can protect her myself, and Lisa is all, I can't just up and leave my life, my job, whatever!

These two knuckle heads have no idea of the hugeness Lisa being pregnant truly is..........until they're knee deep in shit!  So after a much needed chat with Michael, Alex and Lisa accept that her pregnancy isn't normal, and they need to consult with a supernatural doctor, which they just so happen to have.  The Elysium is a place on earth where both demon and angel can neutrally go without the threat of harm.  This magical place renders their powers useless while on "sacred ground."  The area is in Chicago of all places, and they have a top notch hospital there with a mixture of humans, demons and angels that all work together in somewhat harmony.  As Alex and Lisa work their way to Elysium, we are introduced to some new characters, good and evil, that have their own agenda.

I have mixed emotions about this story.  I fell in love with Alex and Lisa in the first book, Fallen, but now after all they went through in that book, they are acting all dumb in this book.  Example of "being dumb," Lisa will not accept that what is happening to her is not normal in the sense that she is A) having these realistic scary dreams and B) when she is sexually charged, her eyes start turning colors, she loses consciousness, and welts appear on her body then quickly disappear.  Really?  This doesn't freak you the fuck out in the least?!  Then you have Alex.  Why isn't he more gung ho about getting her to the doctor to try and figure out what the fuck is going on?!  He's all taking his time, taking her on weekend getaways, and NOT telling her about the demon he found lurking outside their cabin!  I mean Alex, really??  If you're so fucking concerned, then get your ass to Elysium ASAP!!  Michael and Alex have both agreed they don't know "what" Lisa's baby is, and the only way to find out what they will be facing and how to deal with it is to go see the doctor at the Elysium where they can run tests on her and help her.  So stop playing house, and hurry the fuck up!

So you see my dilemma?  I'm already invested in Alex and Lisa's story.  I've bonded with them already.   I want to know how things turn out for them.  I want a happily ever after for them.  I want to know what this baby is!  I want to know if the baby survives, if Lisa survives, if the world doesn't fucking end!  It's not like Lisa and Alex being dumb in this book has made me dislike their characters, I still feel for them and with them.  I was totally holding my breath when Lisa went into labor!  And I totally teared up when Aleena was caught watching the ordeal with tears running down her face!  And I so wanted to punch Gorgon in the face numerous times!  This book did not lack in plots and sub-plots of evil and good.  I mean fuck, pick a fucking evil plan already!  But wait, there is more than one evil plan, wtf??!!  I was very happy when I came to the end of the book and there was not a cliffhanger.  When I was about 60% through the book, I was totally thinking it was going to end with a cliffhanger, because it didn't seem like it was moving fast enough to not, so I was pleasantly surprised.  I feel all is right with Alex and Lisa's world, and that my appetite has been sated.
